Sony has been making top quality digital cameras for many years now, and the Sony DSC W570 definitely measures up to the reputation Sony has built so stringently. It is a light camera ideal for travel and not taking up much space in your pocket. It falls into the middle range when it comes to price and boasts some really awesome features and is available in multiple colors. This is a point and shoot camera that makes a great gift for anyone that wants crisp and quality pictures without the added hassle of having to manually set custom shooting modes and features. The Sony DSC W570 is an attractive choice!
Sony DSC W570 List of Features
The DSC W570 by Sony is a small camera but it can definitely deliver! With its 16.1 megapixel picture taking capability that is a huge size – just to put give you an idea of the quality; at 150 dpi (dots per inch) taking a picture will render a 32.8″ by 21.8″ print. To put that into perspective that is a little bit bigger than a standard movie poster you will see at your local movie theatre.
The SONY Cybershot DSC W570 camera is available in four different colors: black, pink, silver and violet. It boasts a 2.7″ liquid crystal display that is great for shooting and reviewing the photos you taken. The crystal clear LCD makes it easy to make adjustments to your camera, configure your personal settings, and view photos or manage a photo album.
To add to the excitement this camera doesn’t only take pictures, it also lets you shoot 720p resolution movies in MP4 format that produce 1280×720 HD quality movies at thirty frames per second. The video footage saves right to the memory and makes it really easy to transfer it to your Mac or PC for post editing.
One of my personal favorites that this great digi cam by Sony has to offer is the sweep panorama mode that lets you take beautiful panoramic shots without the need to buy a professional SLR camera, dig through its complex manual, or fork out its hefty price tag. All you have to do to produce a beautiful panoramic photo is press the shutter button, and rotate yourself in one spot. The camera’s super-fast picture taking ability will continuously take pictures and in the end seamlessly stiches all of them together to make one beautiful, wide angle shot!
Let’s face it one of the biggest problems with digital cameras is never having enough megabytes on the memory card; ok that isn’t the biggest problem; rather camera shake. When you are about to take the perfect framed shot and your hand just happens to move or someone bumps it, and bam picture is ruined. This nifty point and shoot camera by Sony has an Optical SteadyShot feature built in which uses a gyro sensor to stabilize the camera adjusting its lens. Quite nifty I must say!
Sony DSC W570 has a wealth of features you can read about in details in its manual. The sample images speak no justice when it comes to how good pictures Sony DSC W570 takes. You really have to take your own and try it for yourself. Sony DSC W570 is definitely a best buy at its mid-range price point and comes in at great value.
